I’m Mira.
I’m a freelance photographer, camera operator, and camera assistant based in Adelaide, South Australia.
I’ve been working as a filmmaker since 2011, with experience on TVC’s, feature films, TV drama, music videos, and corporate video. I’m also an accomplished product and event photographer, including work for brands such as McDonald’s, Lenovo, Adelaide Festival Centre, Shouz and the Government of SA.
I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts with Honours at UniSA, with inclusion on the Dean’s Merit List, submitting my thesis on film art, perception, photography, and the moving image. As a documentary filmmaker, I directed the documentary film The Still Point, exploring the work and life of renowned Australian documentary photographer and photojournalist Robert McFarlane.
As a shooter, my interests are exploring human connections and bringing out the beauty in everyday life. My attention to detail and approach to light result in work that is sensitive to the subject and conscious to the aim of the project.
